Staging Tip of the Day

Today's staging tip is COLOUR APPROPRIATELY.
So many home owners paint their home as a reflection of who they are and what they believe in which is GREAT! but not when it comes to selling. We need to make the space appeal to the most amount of people in the least amount of time so what appeals to people? A colour they can live with or stand until they can afford to decorate their home.
The best thing to do in a home for sale is to add colour through accessories such as lamps, pillows, art, decorations etc and have the walls a warm creamy beige colour. This colour goes with pretty much any decor so home owners will be glad they do not have to move in and repaint the offensive mustard yellow wall colour the previous owners had.

It's not to say all colour in the home needs to be removed with a beige colour, if the colours with in the home are neutral enough and reflect natures natural colours and go well with the decor then it could be safe to just keep it. Soft yellows, greens, blues etc can be beautiful if used appropriately. If their is painting required to tone down the decor beige/ tan is best, don't let decorating get you carried away.
